I don't have enough words to say about how much Bob Yellin meant to me. He was a terrific employer and a wonderful friend. I believe he really considered his employees to be the best asset of his company. During is Management Training classes, he taught us to guide employees with Integrity, honesty and respect. He taught me to "bring every situation to a level of truth"; "to hire slow and fire fast"; and that people don't come to you motivated; the best you can hope is to encourage them to be the team member you need. These lessons and many more served me well after I left the CalPro family. Bob & Linda were both a pleasure to be around and always had a kind word. We have lost a genuinely wonderful individual. The world was a better place because he was in it. Rest in peace, Bob...you will be missed.

Bob was a friend of mine and my employer who believed in second chances he treated me with respect. Humble and honest is my personal experience with him. Rest In Peace

It was such a pleasure working for Cal Protection, it was like family everyday when you came to work. My deepest condolences to the family- prayers.

Every time I was in Mr. Yellin’s office at CalProtection I would always read the great names listed. When Bob retired, he gave this to me and said “one day you will replace my business card with yours.” I’ve responded with “I can never take your place, Bob.” He quickly replied, “You have already exceeded all my expectations so always choose good and the rest will follow.” That’s just one of a million examples of how Bob treated his CalPro family which many of us still consider the best company. I always think of Bob & Linda when I drove by Newport Coast on PCH. My thoughts, prayers and love are with the entire Yellin family.

I have a thousand stories about how great this man was.
He used to stop me in the hallway every time we met, put his arm around me and tell me that as long as I made 51% of my decisions correctly I would be a great leader. It made me question myself and I thought he was nuts until I figured out that he trusted me and wanted to empower me to make decisions.
California Suppression Systems was the best company ever thanks to Bob and Linda.

Bob was more than a boss to me. He was a mentor and fatherly figure that invested his valuable time developing my character as a leader and a Godly man. I consider myself blessed to have worked for him for 28 years. The wisdom he instilled in me has helped me pay it forward to my family and coworkers.
As a boss to us all at CalProtection, Bob was an man of integrity, with a positive, winning attitude; the best example of a true leader that inspired greatness in so many employees. I have seen his legacy of leadership live on in many coworkers that he has influenced.

Bob Yellin defines what I love about the great American spirit. He was driven to do great things and to help others do their best as well. A unique man, and I always loved speaking with him, he was tough yet encouraging and complimentary. I will try my best to carry on his torch for his causes and I hope others will too. Will miss you Bob... My prayers are for Linda and their children.
