Samuel C. Peterson, 52, of Orange, peacefully passed away on January 30, 2021, surrounded by loved ones, after a difficult battle with Cancer.
Sam was born in 1968 to Richard and Barbara Peterson in the city of Long Beach. After losing his mom at the age of 5, he gained a bonus mom, Germaine Peterson.
After graduation, he joined the Army and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. The highlight of his military career was being stationed overseas in Germany. He would always talk about the fun times and how he wished he could go back and take his family. In 2004, he met Melissa at the Costa Mesa Hilton during a convention. They married in 2011 in the city of Tustin. Sam and Melissa went on to have one son, Dylan, and a dog Gunner.
Sam loved spending his time with his family, watching his Los Angeles Rams, Kings, and Dodgers play and spending time relaxing on the Colorado River. He also loved to build computers, remote-controlled cars and could mostly be found out in his garage. Sam was predeceased by Richard and Barbara Peterson. He is survived by his bonus mom Gerri, sister Kristen (Mike), wife Melissa, son Dylan, Mother and Father In Law Ed and Bonnie, brothers and sisters-in-law Robert, Laura, Michelle, Kim (Nathan), and Tim (Daniella), and all his nieces and nephews Vanessa, Briana (Estevan), Karissa (Richard), Kaylee, Shaun, Savannah, Omar, Hunter, Tyler, Reilly, Hayden, and his great-nieces Liliana and Chloe.
