The world lost a fine man and a great friend when Fritz left us!! I first met Fritz in the 7th grade when we farm kids came to town and he came from St. Monica's to join us in the old Jr. High. Fritz & I played football together.
He was the Quarter Back and I was the Center on the two championship teams of 54 and 55. We were the second team and scrimaged against the state champions every night. Fritz was always upbeat and jovial. During the horrible economic times of the late 70's and early 80's Fritz & Lefty opened up markets for lumber into Australia and the South Pacific that kept us going. I later joined them after they rescued me from a difficult experience for which I am very grateful still. Hiedi mentioned their joint desk at Pacific Corridor. I used to find them both on the phone selling lumber or plywood, talking to one or more of the girls in the office and possibly myself or one of the mill superintendents, all at the same time and never missing a beat. Great guys with a lot of talent! Your great smile and fun loving personality are greatly missed! By the way, you got the same haircut as I did.

My Uncle's remarkable positive attitude and love for his extended family is rare these days.

I think the funniest stories I know include him.
THAT is a life that's been lived!

Attaching my favorite picture of one of our Sunday gatherings.

Fritz lived life the right way, making an enormous impact as a father, a husband, a neighbor, a coach, a friend. I look forward to attending his celebration of life this Friday. I expect that the venue may overflow with those who want to pay tribute to the man that touched so many lives in a positive way. My family lived very close to the Page family when I was a small child. Years later I had the good fortune to play basketball for Fritz. In all of my years playing he was without a doubt my favorite coach, and his influence no doubt impacted how I approached my role as a youth coach many years in the future. And of course it was a joy to run into him while at tournaments all those years later ... as of course the legend himself was still at it then and after I myself had hung up my whistle. RIP Fritz and all of best to his family as they reflect on all of the fond memories and the impact of their father, grandfather, etc.
