Henry was a big influence on my working career. He showed me that working for yourself was the best option out there, and when you do you keep track of everything you possibly can. He kept things as reminders of his ideas and attempts at streamlining production in his steel processing business. He had kept a suction cup sheet steel handling contraption he had built for the business that in 9 years I never saw operate a single time. His way of reminding himself why he actually needed employees to manually do the job. He was loyal to his hard working staff, proven in the long tenure people had working for him. He felt the best option for Oregon Metal Slitters survival was to sell it to a historically successful Japanese trading conglomerate, most likely due to technological superiority. Thanks for the lessons in business Henry, You have made me a less wasteful person. Condolences to the family and friends. Ethan

Henry's daughter Laurie was my first friend when I moved to DC. Tonight she regaled us with stories about her dad of whom she was so proud and whom she clearly loved dearly.

Condolences to Laurie and the entire Oseran family.

May Henry's, z'l", memory be for a blessing.

Hi, Dan ...

You might remember me as a classmate at Wilson, especially in Frank Murray's class.

I was sorry to hear of the loss of your father, and read his obit with interest. My dad also served in WWII (in the navy, at New Guinea), and like your father, returned to work in the steel market (with the Zidells).

My sympathies to you and to your family.
