James Edward Leek
Aug. 14, 1942 - March 27, 2021
James Edward Leek "Jim" passed away March 27, 2021 with family by his side at the age of 78 after a 11-year battle with prostate cancer. He was born Aug. 14, 1942 in Portland, grew up in Portland and attended Washington High, where he competed in football and swimming for the Colonials.
He served in the Army and while stationed in Berlin, Germany met Christel. They were married in 1963 in Berlin. Jim had a number of careers but found his true calling in real estate working as a Realtor along with development and construction for nearly 30 years until he retired in 2019. Jim enjoyed sports and was an avid golfer, but received the most joy watching his granddaughters compete in various sports. Jim loved spending time with family and friends in Central Oregon, and cherished his trips to Europe with Christel.
Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Christel; his sons, Donald (Chris), Jeffrey (Stephanie); and his two granddaughters, Madison Borris (Christian) and Paige.
A military committal service will be at Willamette National Cemetery of Portland.

Dear Christel, So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. When I was active in golf I played many rounds with him at Glendaveer and we always had a great time. Just wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.
