Dick was a true gentleman. Over the years, we shared many fishing adventures in Washington and Oregon. I remember one trip to Chickahominy Reservoir. We nearly burned up in our pontoons as the sunrays reflected on the still waters. At night the wind came up and the tent nearly left the ground but the fishing was great! I'll miss him.

Dick was the first person I met when I was planning on enlisting after a break in service. He was a great mentor and very knowledgeable.

We went on many deployments together and he was always someone you could confide in and look up to as a true leader.

After 22 years in with the 116th, I'll never forget his commitment to the mission, his dedication and leadership.
Goodbye Dick, we'll miss you!

SMSgt Fogle was the Operations Superintendent in the 116th ACS where he began his career and retired. He was a great mentor to many, had unique voice, almost Paul Harvey like which probably was very distinguishable to the pilots he guided to their targets and back.
I was fortunate to work with him and spend some time with him after his retirement as he taught me his other passion of fly fishing and fly tying.

Rest in peace Dick.
