Proud to have joined government service with Caroline. She will be dearly missed.

I feel blessed to have known Caroline, if only for a short while. She blew me away with not only her knowledge of history and politics, work ethic, and knack for languages, but also her dry sense of humor and love for pop culture and t.v. shows. She was a kind-hearted soul and I will miss her dearly.

Rest peacefully, dear friend.

The staff of U.S. Embassy Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan send their heartfelt condolences over Caroline's passing. Caroline was a deeply respected colleague, treasured friend, and truly promising diplomat. Her time in Kyrgyzstan was a blessing to us, and we all gained from her probing intellect, deep curiosity, personal warmth, and ironic sense of humor. May her family find some comfort in the knowledge that during her all too brief life, Caroline enriched the lives of countless friends and colleagues around the world and we will never forget her.
