Carmella Collias Obituary

Collias, Carmella 89, died on Tuesday, December 5, 2017, at The Commons at Orlando Lutheran Towers surrounded by her family. She was born on November 14, 1928, in Croton-on-Hudson, New York. She worked at the New York Veterans Administration until her marriage in 1953. She and her husband moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she raised four children on homemade meatballs and lasagna. She relocated to Orlando in 1985 and was an active member of the St. James Cathedral Choir. She is survived by her husband, Harry Collias, four children, Karen Collias, Tom Collias, Teresa Roberts, and David Collias. She had six grandchildren and one great grandson. She is also survived by a brother, sisters, and scores of nieces and nephews. To celebrate her life, a mass of Christian burial will be held at St. James Cathedral, 215 N Orange Avenue, Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Friends of the Music Ministry at St. James Cathedral.
