I'm back home in N.Y., wish to say sendoff for Dad was wonderful. Although the gathering wasn't large, we had a great group. The Priest said terrific things about Dad, he was a Navy guy too! Heartfelt. Naval Honor Guard was emotional! The Officer while speaking was incredibly emotional, Dad had a great impact on him, and giving Mom the Flag was precious! The Bagpipes, as a FDNY guy, hit home, and all friends/ local Firemen said to us how Dad had such an impact on them, was amazing. All Mom's friends, Tricia, Ave's friends, neighbors, and my surprise FDNY pal Joe, was just perfect. We had fun after, Dad looking down with us from Heaven was proud!

Oh my. Sonny I did not even know your Dad was ill. Have been thinking about you. I visited Brookdale yesterday and found out about your Dad's passing. I am so sorry. May our Lord take you in his arms and hold you tight and keep you safe through this. My prayers are with you. George, you are now and angel. Spread your wings and fly.

George was more than my godmother's husband. He was as much a part of the Leddy family as any brother. I always looked up to him and especially liked the way he treated my mother and father. I already miss his wit and his expertise at performing each task he took on. If ever there was a true ,humble , hero it was George Armstrong. Michael J. Leddy II
