I worked at the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce from 1971-1983. Roger was my first "Boss" in a full time job. He was a true professional, kind and had a great sense of humor. He was dedicated to his family, church and community. We shared may life memories working together to enhance the life in Winter Park. Lots of wonderful memories from the days on Park Avenue in the early 70's to mid 80's. I know how much he adored Carolyn, Tracy and Mark. This world is a better place because he was here. My heart is with you all as you adjust to this void in your lives.

Roger was such a good and decent man. He always led with a calm and fair attitude. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him in the Fort Walton Beach Chamber of Commerce. I know his family was most important to him and my heart is breaking for all of you. May God bless all of his children, grandchildren, and his special friend, Elaine, who brought him such joy in his later years. I will keep you all in my prayers.

So sorry for your loss. He lived a long and happy life I am sure. I served as Chamber president in 1994 when Roger was the executive director in Fort Walton Beach. He and Carolyn were very kind to me. Roger even sponsored me for my Emmaus Walk in April 2000. He attended Shalimar Methodist Church. We still have some great memories of his days leading the Chamber.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all,
Jeanne Rief
