We miss Ron dearly and appreciated so much his friendship when we moved in across the street. Ron was always willing to help us out when needed and he was a great neighbor. I will miss his stories and his sense of humor. When I was on maternity leave after having my daughter, Ron often stopped over during the day to check in on us and see if we needed anything. He is so good with kids and was the first person to make my little girl giggle with his funny voices. Ron's porch light was always on and the neighborhood doesn't feel the same without him. Godspeed, Ron.

There are no words to say how much I miss my friend and work hubby. He was the one who I called with work issues and he would talk me down off the ledge. I talked to him almost every morning and it is hard when I can't give him a call to say hi.

I can only give my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends. Just know that my prayers are with you.

Bud: I am the widow of Tom Wanko, your classmate at Monessen High School and West Point, class of 1951. My sincere condolences to you and Irene on the loss of your son, Ron. I can only imagine the grief of a parent losing a child.
Tom died Feb. 11, 2001 of respiratory arrest. He always spoke well of you. We have 4 beautiful children, 2 boys and 2 girls, and 4 grandchildren, also 2 boys and 2 girls. I feel so lonely without him, but life goes on. I think I met you once, perhaps at a high school reunion. My prayers for peace and comfort. Cathy Wanko
