Coach Hale was my gym teacher for three years (1963,64 and 65) at Hillside Jr. High School in Salt Lake City.
He was a true gentleman and one of the most impactful instructors I ever had. My deepest condolences and thoughts. Ed Sweeney

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Ralph, it was an honor to serve with you on the PC School Board. You really made difference.

My deepest condolences. Blessed to know him as a great mentor, and friend at Hillside Jr. High. Dick Milne (Salt Lake City).

I'm sorry I was away and didn't see this notice until just now. To all the other accolades mentioned in the obituary, Coach Hale and the Hale family were the best neighbors anyone could have. We could always count on coach, whether for a ride to school or an encouraging word. I believe he's the only teacher I ever had at Hillside who never yelled at me. Which may say something about me, but even more about Coach Hale. Our thoughts are with you Mrs Hale, Denise, Cindy and Kerry. We were fortunate to know him.
