HAROLD (HAL) R. BROWN Hal left the earth to be with our Lord on April 4, 2013, at 77 years of age. Hal was a successful business man and a talented contractor who helped develop the community through Hal Brown Builders and also with his volunteer work in many organizations throughout the valley. Hal was a 50 year member of the Lions Club. He was also the founding president of Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Knights of Columbus. All of these organizations and his construction business have contributed to the greater good of hundreds of people and families in the area. A few of the social clubs Hal was part of for leisure included the Riverside-Corona Model T Club and a 5th Wheel Camping group known as the "5th Wheelers". Hal and his beautiful bride of 58 years, Martie Brown, are devout members of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Together they raised 3 children: Steve Brown, Cathy Diepholz and Jeannie Cordova, and he lived to see his 8 grandchildren raised up into adults and 8 great-grandchildren born unto them. Hal was a strong, happy and proud man who will be missed dearly! Funeral services will be held at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church on April 8, 2013 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Building Fund, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 26340 Soboba St., Hemet, CA 92544

We want to extend our deepest sympathy to Marti and all of Hal's family. We knew Hal as a member of the Hemet Lions Club. He was an excellent member and a wonderful friend. Hal and Harold C. always had fun talking about Hazard, Kentucky. He will be greatly missed.

Donna (Kasari) Ellison and Jim. Uncle Hal was my favorite uncle and I remember family vacations and camping, especially when we took the LONG gravel road to Bodie in his jeep. My husband and I have since visited Bodie several times, both summer and winter, and every time I rember Uncle Hal. He was fun, loving, and had time for any one who needed help.
We love him and have joy that he is with all who went before him, including my mother, and we embrace Martie and her children and spouses with all our love.
