ROBERT S. SOLORIO
June 1, 1932 - January 10, 2018
Robert Salcedo Solorio, 85, passed away at home Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Riverside, CA where he was a native and lifelong resident. Robert was born on June 1, 1932 and raised in the Casa Blanca neighbor- hood. In 1952 he was drafted by the U.S. Army to serve in the Korean War and was honorably discharged two years later. In 1956 he married Carmen Rivera and together they raised a son and three daughters. Robert was employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 36 years before retiring in 1992. Robert is survived by his wife Carmen; son Ruben; daughters Cynthia, Aileen, Elizabeth; grandson Jeremy, and two sisters Margaret Chagolla and Emilia Sotelo. Memorial services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Monday, January 29, 2018 at 1:00 pm. A reception will follow at Acheson and Graham, Garden of Prayer Mortuary from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Kaiser Riverside Hospice, 10917 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92505.
