I just leaned of Pete's passing and I want to pass on my sympathy to all of the family. I worked with Pete at PPL and I never met a nicer man. We had many talks about high school sports, and life in general. I'll miss you Pete. I hope your behind the plate right now.

My condolences to Pete's family. Pete and I go way back to Linglestown Twilight baseball and lifting weights in his garage. We have run into Pete in the past couple of years at high school baseball games and my son was able to get to know him while catching with Pete behind the plate and then while he was a spectator at Lower Dauphin High School games. I still tell the story that while umping a couple of years ago, Pete told my son "Ok, I'm going to try getting down on one knee", then after the pitch, Pete said "OK, now can you help me get back up?". He put up a good fight and tried his best to beat the disease and probably lived a lot longer because of his good attitude then maybe he should have. We will miss Pete - He was a good man!
