My childhood friend. We played jump rope, kick ball, ran track, played tennis and cheered! We had some great times and made some wonderful memories. Life took us in different directions but I always thought of Connie as my friend. My sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to Diane, Frankie and the entire Brown and Collins families! May you be granted comfort, peace, grace and mercy!

Still cant believe youre gone Sis! This has been and still is hard to embrace, but We know that God knows best, and makes no mistakes. We have over 30 years of fond memories to cherish and remember from church memories of singing, praising, and worshipping God together from our arrival to Harrisburg with our church choir and Leroy on the Sax, to personal family gatherings we shared together with our two growing families thru the years, as well as our GATFC family that God blessed us to Minister together in! You were a fire ball, a comedian, a disciplinarian, a no nonsense, loving, caring, giving person, as well as a friend and sister, and you WILL be missed! Sleep on my sister; Take your rest; we All truly loved and will miss you, But we know that God loved you best! To Steph, Saun, Jackie, Diane, and the entire Family we send our love and continued prayers! From your Gatling and GATFC Family❤❤

I have known this young lady since her childhood. She was very good friends with my daughter, and we love her much. It makes my heart heavy to know that she won't be here sharing that beautiful voice that would only uplift ones spirit. She was respectful, kind and her laugh was infectious. Her spirit, Godly, for she loved the Lord. My family and I will miss her, but I believe deep in my soul that God has already given her an important heavenly assignment, she will be vital to the heavenly choir. Heaven has yet another asset to sound the cord of heavenly love throughout the heavens. To her family and children, how proud I know you are to have shared this wonderful, loving, kind and Godly woman with so many that fell in love with her spirit. I ask God to remove the sting of death from your hearts and allow you to only remember your mother, sister, grandmother the way she lived, "in Godly love."

My condolences to the Brown/Collins family and friends. Keeping everyone in my prayers.

Connie was a beautiful person inside and out. We go back to Linden Street. She lived at one end and my grandparents lived at the other end. Later our families were both living out the Southside in Harrisburg PA.

Connie spread joy and laughter every where she went. She was full of love. She had a beautiful singing voice that would touch one's soul and heart.

Rest In Heavenly Peace my beautiful childhood friend. I know you are singing with the angels now.

To: Diane and Family

Words may not suffice to express the heartfelt sorrow that I feel for Connie's passing. I believe that tears can heal, memories can comfort, and love lives on forever. Connie's good heart has touched so many lives, it can't help but live on in those it loved. Connie by the help of God's Spirit, vowed and declared that in lifecome what may, she will forever give God all the Praise. Someone as exceptional as Connie can never be forgotten. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Rom 15:13 NIV). Wishing you strength for today and hope for tomorrow.

To the Family of Connie E. (Brown) Collins:

Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of your loved one. Connie was a sweet young lady/woman. I met Connie in 1981 at John Harris. I remember that whenever I would see her in the halls she always had a smile on her face, even when she was upset. I am sure that she is still smiling, for her journey is complete. Connie will be sadly missed and gladly remembered.

Connie was created to praise

Heaven was preparing, excitement was overflowing,
The heavenly praisers just knew they were getting ready for a special praiser as they listened to the musician's horns blowing

While down here on earth we were grieving because a wonderful, mother, friend, aunt, sister, cousin was leaving us
A queen, an anointed saint, a holy woman of God true to her word, one whom you could always trust

Connie a saved, sanctified woman of God without being stuffy and looking down from a high steeple
Connie a smiling, praying, praising woman a friend of the people

She kept praising God never taking down when life seemed to let her down
Connie was a happy person smiling, laughing, singing in situations the enemy tried to turn her smile into a frown

Connie lived to praise and praised to live for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
She praised Him right up until she couldn't sing to the love of her life

But a choir was waiting for her not of this earthly land
The heavenly choir in a building not made by hands

We will miss our friend, will miss her contagious laughter, her smiling face, her deep voice of praise
We will miss our love one who would start laughing and if you were sad she would brighten up your day

We will miss those old school praise songs that had you clapping your hands and patting your feet
We will miss that anointed gravel the Spirit would put in her voice and get you up from your seat

I've heard earths loss is heavens gain
But it still does not stop the separation pain

But one thing we can be assured of and the heavenly choir welcomes our love one above
That we will one day see her again, still praising Jesus her king, still smiling, laughing praising the one whom she does love

We have to reluctantly yield physical body to the last enemy on earth which is the grave
But we know her spirit has traveled beyond earthly pain, sorrow, sadness, which she went through strong in the Lord and brave

Goodbye Connie we know you'll be singing as you march and dance through heaven door
Praising the Father God and the Son as you reach heaven celestial shore

I will miss Connie's spirit of genuine worship that she created every time I heard her singing the praises of God. Her spirit was always joyful and I believe her work for our God was genuine and she didn't mind praising Him wherever she was. And when it came to her daughters she was encouraging and most proud if their accomplishments. I am thankful to have had opportunity to know her and experience the presence of God when she was in praise and worship mode. Connie...I will look to see you on the other side where we can continue our worship and experience the full presence of our God.
