I didn't know what to say to your family to ease the pain, I know how much I miss him already. But I realized you cant sum up all Dan was to each of us, he gave us laughter, compassion, help with anything, a smile, shared his knowledge, etc. But I think what we all knew was that he was a Christian, without preaching at us, making all of our faith stronger through his actions.
May God bless you all.

I am so sorry for your loss. I had the opportunity to get to know Dan while working on the PACSES application. He was a wonderful man with a very upbeat personality. It was a pleasure to work with him and an honor to know him. During this most difficult time, may you find some level of comfort in the memories that he created. My thoughts and prayer are with you.

I wanted to sare a poem i wrote for you and your family. I woke up this morning with this on my heart and reading his obituary it motivated me:
You ask yourself where do you begin, although he has grown his wings, his legacy will never end. No words could ever ease the pain, there is no pain outweigh your memory.
Think of the good times, what he has done in life to help others and most of all his faith in Christ. He, wasn't just a soldier in the military, he was a soldier in the arm of God.
I know you ask your self how do you let go,
God has called him home now, we can't say no.
It will fill like an empty space left behind, no one can fill,
We don't have that power, but only God's s perfect will.
All the memories you have stored will live in each of you,
Hopefully that will help you get through.
To the family, I didn't know Mr.Harmon but felt I wanted to send my condolences to the family. The day this happened I felt the pain you felt. There are no words anyone nor myself can say to make that pain go away. Know there are so many people like myself are there for you. It will take time to heal, and maybe you will never heal completely the way you want to, but know God is always there to help you get through this in your own way and time. God heals all wounds, may you find peace in your hearts.
