Mrs.Mattson was literally my 'second' mother growing up. I knew her from when I was born. My family were close neighbors to the Mattson family, and have known them since 1966. There were many many memories, but most of all I remember her gentle sweet spirit - along with a genuine kindness and joy that radiated from her, and really was the hallmark of her character. She seemed to always have something good or encouraging to say and was consistently positive and interested in others, - not a wonder she was so beloved by so many!! I know she holds a special place in the hearts of the lives that she touched, especially mine. Love and prayers for the family at this time xoxo

She was a beautiful lady. And my tea-drinking buddy! I remember going to every church supper and checking to see if someone had made a pot of hot water for us alongside the huge barrel of coffee. She was a grandmother to so many...even those of us who were not technically related. She will be missed. My condolences to her family.
