Hester Miller, 79 of Harrisburg, passed January 7, 2021 in Hershey Medical Center. Predeceased by her parents Joel and Carrie Cray. After Hester's passing, her son Joseph passed shortly thereafter. Hester was a member of the First Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She cared for generations of children with her kind and loving spirit. Hester leaves her children; Annette Miller-Brown (Ernest Butler), siblings; James (aka Jonnie) (Estella), Philip (Helen), Amos (Elmira), Jesse (Ruby), Rev. Zane (Teresa), Carl (Mabel), Ozell (Betty), Perry, Selvin (Thelma), Ephram (Rosetta), Sterling (Alice), Murral (Beverly), Aleasa (James), Carrie (Frank), Bertha (Barry), Lucile (Sylvester) and Sallie, her grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. A viewing and visitation will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. All necessary COVID-19 restrictions will be in place. www.hooperfuneral.com. www.pennlive.com/obits

I grew up with her family on Liberty Street, she was one of the best babysitters in Harrisburg. She took care of me and my siblings. May she continue to Rest In Peace.
