Janet Elaine (Mummey) Fogg, 57, passed away peacefully at her home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on March 22nd with her two daughters and husband at her side. After a 6 1/2 year fight with ovarian cancer she is now watching over us from above. Born in Danville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Dale Mummey and Barbara (Bean) Mummey. She is survived by her husband, Michael Fogg, her daughters Sarah and Julia Fogg, and her brother Craig Mummey. She was raised in Camp Hill, PA and went to Penn State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. Wanting to make even more of a difference, she went on to earn her Master's Degree from the University of Pennsylvania and ultimately her PhD from Villanova University. She worked for over 25 years as a critical care nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the Hershey Medical Center and for over 25 years as an Associate Professor for the Penn State College of Nursing at the Penn State Hershey campus. Janet loved her family, her friends, Chardonnay and her cat CC. When she could no longer work as a nurse because of her disease, she became a strong advocate for Ovarian Cancer through the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation and the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. She also took pride in her volunteer work at Penn State Hershey Medical Center. She has touched many lives and has made many friends over her life and will be dearly missed. A celebration of life will be held at a future date, and will be announced through Janet's social media pages. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in Janet's name to the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation (sandyovarian.org). The Musselman Funeral Home is Honored to Serve The Fogg Family. 324 Hummel Avenue, Lemoyne, PA 17043. MUSSELMAN www.pennlive.com/obits

Janet, Your picture looks great! You showed great courage, spirit, character and even humor during your cancer fight. You are an inspiration to your many friends. We were fortunate to have met you many years ago through the volleyball community. Thanks for always coming to the picnics, and bringing players...we will miss you but find solace in the memories...and in your peace. We love you.

What a wonderful, caring and brilliant woman. She was an inspiration to so many. Dr. Fogg was my Professor in Nursing school years ago and I was fortunate enough to become her co-worker many years later. I learned numerous things from her, she welcomed me and served as a mentor and sincere friend. Her passing is truly a loss. My deepest sympathy and heartfelt condolences to her husband and daughters.

I will always remember meeting you at annual Spring Advocacy Days, the conference, and the fun we had at my first fall in September at Camp Mak-a-Dream. Thank you for your warm spirit, always being there for us teal sisters and walking up the Butte even half way with me. I enjoyed our talks and words of encouragements. Love and miss you. May your family find comfort and love in your memories. 24 years survivor, advocate leader and friend Melissa Kritzell

From the moment I met her Janet called me "sis". She was the warm, genuine, loving and always willing to step up whenever anyone asked. I can't believe she is gone. My heart is broken.
