Joyce Otstot A Tribute to Joyce Otstot The feistiest, most argumentative, opinionated person I've ever known. These are the best adjectives to describe my friend. Joyce had a hard life, these are the qualities that helped her cope with life. Joyce didn't care much for people in general. She preferred the company of felines. Unconditional love and no confrontation. I never witnessed her denying a stray cat. Some were given, others just showed up on her doorstep. Cats know a good person when they see one. Joyce and I shared the same work ethic, we met at a deli. We could always rely on one another no matter what the task. After being friends (and I don't use that term lightly) for 20 plus years, I felt a need to pay tribute to this beautiful soul. Not many people saw this, but I knew it. I will miss you my friend. I take comfort in knowing you will finally have the peaceful existence that you deserve. If one minute in your infinity equals a year, I will see you in 20 minutes or less. Put a pot of coffee on my friend, we'll have lunch. See you in a little buddy. Your Friend, Wendie

I too met Joyce at Fox's/Karns. I've known her for 17+years. Also she was like a Grandma to me. We were alike in a lot of ways.
Strong and independent are more adjectives to describe her. My thoughts and prayers to her family. She will be deeply missed.
Luv ya Joycey. I will never forget you or our "Dropsies".

Joyce was my work Grandma for many years at Fox’s/ Karns! I will always remember the great times we had working. She was a great listener to any problems I had. I will always remember the times we went to the Green Dragon and she hoped up into my truck. She was feisty and very caring. I will miss her very deeply. Prayers to her family and friends! ❤

only had the honor of working with Joyce for six years. She definately was a caring and loving soul. A work ethic that can not be measured and is rarely seen today. My heart aches for her loved ones, and is happy she is no longer suffering. I surely do miss her-work is just not the same!

What a beautiful tribute by you (as her friend) to your beautiful, and I would add the adjective strong, friend! It's a wonderful ability to see a person as they are and respect and love those qualities - had I ever had the privilege to meet and know her, I'm sure I would share every sentiment you have expressed. And, you are right, a cat knows a good person when they see one - I never met a cat (or dog) that I didn't love. You are a TREASURED friend yourself.
