I am so sorry to hear of Marty's passing. I lost contact with her but for many years she would come to my house and spend time with our horses and then go and spend time with hers. She really loved her horses. I am sorry for the loss that her family and friends are feeling. Marty was a great lady and yes, she had a laugh that you'll never forget nor would you want to. Rest in Paradise my dear Marty. My condolences also go out to her family and her friends. Bill I see that you are now in Tucson; I hope all is well with you. Rest in Paradise our sweet Marty.

I was a childhood playmate of Martha's during the time I and my family spent our living as next door neighbors . I Iived at 1213 Swatara St., Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I understand at this writing that house is still standing however Martha's next door home was demolished years ago. Beyond playing together around the surrounding neighborhood, sometime during the late 50s, I recall clearly sitting on the front porch of my home and watching her brother, Billy, practice his baseball pitching. He was quite good! My mother talked to his mother over the back yard fence to each other and I seem to remember their conversations always seemed to revolve around their housekeeping duties. My mother used to call her "Fry" when they saw each other in their respective backyards either hanging out their laundry or just simply having a neighborly chat.It is with great fondness and happiness that I recall these memories of Martha and her family. As I now affirmatively pray for both Martha and her remaining living family, I would like to say thank you to them for affording me such beautiful and happy childhood memories by being one of their neighbors. Respectfully,Helen Williams, Santa Barbara, California
