Ryan L. Mohn, 16, of 529 Pine Street, Steelton, died Saturday, February 7, 2004 in the M.S. Hershey Medical Center from injuries suffered in a traffic accident.
He was an honor student in the Junior Class of Steelton-Highspire High School, where he participated as a starting pitcher for the baseball team, the basketball team and starting quarterback for the Steelton-Highspire Steamrollers football team. He was a member of the History and Literature Club and was nominated for the National Honor Society. Ryan was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, where he served as President of the Church Youth Group.
He is survived by his parents, Ronald L. Mohn, Jr. and Alison G. Hoover Mohn; a sister, Cristen Janell Mohn, at home; his paternal grandparents, Ronald L. Mohn, Sr. and Joan A. Thrasher Mohn of Steelton; his maternal grandmother, Martha Diveley Hoover of Steelton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday in Centenary United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kevin E. Hughes, his pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lower Paxton Twp. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday in his church.
Arrangements are being handled by Wiedeman Funeral Home, 357 S. Second Street, Steelton.
