Dear Mom, there are not many messages here, however that is because all those bright young students you taught are out living the productive lives you helped prepare them for. We know in their hearts and minds they are grateful for the gentle start you gave them and look back to you with kindness. We, your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren experienced that kindness ourselves. We wanted to tell you about something wonderful that has happened to your family within the last two weeks. On
09/09/17 God gave you a new great grandson weighing
7lbs.14oz. His name is Logan Thomas Hoover. Little Mason has the brother we have been praying for. We know you and Dad are smiling about that. We promise you both Logan will learn to know you both in the years to come.
We Love You Always

Mrs. Chisolm was my kindergarten teacher at West Pensacola Elementary school in the early 70's. She was absolutely my all time favorite teacher. She was so kind and caring. I remember one day at school I lost a tooth. I guess I was a little upset about it and I can remember her hugging me to comfort me. Such a wonderful lady. I will always adore her. Sending prayers to her family.

Women Veterans of Louisiana offers our prayers, along with those of a grateful nation, for the sacrifice your loved one has made in service to this country. Please know that the prayers of so many people are with you and your wonderful family. We hope that you can find some solace in knowing that your loss is shared so deeply by those of us who've served. She is that young woman who served, got out, and went on about her life and raised her family. That graying 20-year-in-service veteran as well as that 18-year-old who volunteered to serve knowing we were at war and was willing to die. All deserve to be remembered and honored for their service, regardless of when and where they served. There's one common denominator that all veterans share. The flag over their coffin. Your loved one's service will never be forgotten. Keep her in your heart and always cherish the service she provided for all of us to live comfortably and enjoy our beautiful country. Please accept our sincere condolences and know that we stand ready to support your family in this time of loss.

With deepest sympathy, WOMEN VETERANS OF LOUISIANA
