Adele: What a dear and sweet person Charley was. Scott and I always loved his sense of humor and laughing ways. He was very special. Take care of yourself please. Love, Lolly & Scott Walton

Adele, we are so sorry to learn of Charlie's passing. I had the opportunity to work for him for a brief time at Harris. Terry always talks fondly of the times that he and Charlie worked together. Our hearts and prayers are with you at this time.

Charley was a great uncle and a great friend. I wish we hadn't lived on opposite sides of the country because every time we saw him he was quick to make those around him smile and was always super hospitable. I'm really grateful for the time I got to spend with such a great man, and wish I could have spent more with him. He always made me and my family feel welcome and special, we will sure miss him.

As we were growing up my mother often regaled my sisters and me with tales of her brother Charley. They were typical childhood sibling rivalry stories, interlaced with braggadocio about his many accomplishments. She was very proud of him. Primed with these stories, before we ever met him, we thought he hung the moon. Then we met him in person. He took us for walks, stopped to talk about a spider on the sidewalk, and did what kids adore in an uncle. He spent time with us. His reputation solidified, we knew for sure he really did hang the moon. Throughout his life he was a kind, warm, loving soul and we will dearly miss him.
