I worked with David from a distance, don't believe I ever met him in person. He always impressed me with his upbeat attitude, his willingness to learn, his support of his employees, and his professionalism. We all miss him!

I have many fantastic memories with David when he was assigned to Ft. Sheridan. Chris and Matthew, I am so sorry for your loss. Love you both even though we haven't seen each other in years. That is something we need to rectify.

I have many GREAT memories of Dave at Ft. Sheridan....the professional army band trombone player, the father/family man, the "give you the shirt off my back" friend, the social gatherings including as "Boo" Williams would say the "attitude adjustments". Dave was a phenomenal trombone player and also drove bus/truck for the band where driving around Chicago to an 81st Army Band gig seemed to ALWAYS be an adventure. His wife at that time Gloria used to babysit my then infant son Andrew J. CorrynWatson. Ft. Sheridan was my first active duty station as these experiences served to form the core of my entire army career. I can hardly believe that was 38 years ago!! I am very proud to have known Dave, served with Dave, and call him my friend. Thank you Dave!! May God Bless you and your family during this special time
