Our sincere condolences to the family, May God provide you with the strength, peace and comfort that Betty is in his hands. during these difficult times. We, the class of 1967 were all so very saddened to hear of your loss of Betty Jean, known to us all, her classmates at Crestwood High School- Chesapeake, Virginia as "Jeannie". I found and knew Jeannie to be a very genuine, loving helpful individual. Our Junior and Senior year, Betty sit in front of me in Ms. Vivian Vincent homeroom. We met again, in 1976 as we both were employed by the Federal Government, US Treasury Dept. in San Francisco, California.
Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.
My wife, Annette and I hearts are with you and your family, with Gods Blessings.

My sincere condolences to the family on the loss of our beloved Ms. Betty. She has been a truly wonderful neighbor and dear friend who welcomed my family to the neighborhood when we moved next door to her over 14 years ago. Ms. Betty was a fixture in my sons life since he was born 9 years ago. She affectionately referred to him as "Buddy" and he called her "Aunt Betty". For years he would run to her and jump in her arms whenever he saw her. Although he knew she was ill, he was so sad when he heard of her joining the Angels. I have so many good memories thanks to her. I enjoyed helping her whenever she was in need. She was always concerned about me and my health, and would council me when she thought I was over exerting myself. I can go on and on sharing the wonderful memories. We wish the family the best and although deeply saddened by her departure, we're blessed to have had her in our lives and know she is no longer suffering but rejoicing in Heaven.
Sincerely,
Dale Smith and family
