Dew Dianne Brown
Chesapeake - Dew Dianne Brown passed away on May 8, 2018 surrounded by her family. She had just turned 75 years old. Left to carry on her memory are her husband of nearly 57 years, Charles R. Brown, her daughter Debra Lee Vendt and son-in-law Nick; her grandchildren: Britani Kerns and her husband Chris, Jason Vendt , Jordan Vendt; and a great-grandson, Dominic Vendt. Dianne was preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Lee Satchwell Morrill, and her father, Dan C. Morrill.
Dianne was born on May 5, 1943 in Atlanta, Georgia and was raised in Manteo, on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. As a girl, she performed with her mother in the historic Lost Colony play and posed for many, many pictures for her photographer father. In 1959, at a high school dance, she met the love of her life, her very own Charlie Brown. After a family move to Portsmouth, Virginia, she graduated from Churchland High School in 1961 and got married three days later. At 18, she traveled cross country before moving overseas with the Army. She spent three years living in France and Germany before returning to the Hampton Roads area. There she spent her years creating a loving home, helping her husband with his work, raising her daughter, and helping to raise her grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy.
There will be a visitation in celebration of Dianne's life on Saturday, May 19 from 11:30 to 1:30 a.m. at Bay Club at Eagle Pointe, 1500 Eagle Pointe Way, Chesapeake, Virginia, 23322. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
