I was saddened to find this notice today.
What a fine musician and wonderful person.
Band was the one class I looked forward to each day. I still remember rehearsing and performing the Traveler Overture, The Citadel and Allegro, Adagio and Alleluia at concert band festival.

To The Tucker Family, My condolences are extended to your family for your lose. Mr. Tucker was a great musician and we in Smithfield at IWT & Westside appreciated all that he gave as an educator. My prayers are with your family.

What a profound loss to the musical community. Mr Tucker is largedly responsible for countless musical careers (including my own), and cultivated even more lifelong interests and appreciations for music. I attended Jacox Jr High School from 1974-1977. The experiences were both innumerable, and immeasurable. Doing far more with far less, He demanded excellence and pride at all times. He was a father figure to all - teaching not only music, but lessons of life. I learned things from him that I still follow and teach today. To the family - please know that he had done all he possibly could. He finished his symphony, and it was time for his final coda. He now rests in the peace of the Almighty God.
Fabius Tucker - a musical giant among giants.
