Bos'n Naylor was a remarkable leader. Serving this nation under the direct leadership of such an inspiring individual was one of my greatest honors. It truly is a sad moment for us all. May he Rest in Peace. To the family, we are most thankful for your sharing him with us. God Bless You All. You are in our hearts and Prayers. (USS Guadalcanal 1983-1986)

I served with Gerry on the Guadalcanal in 83, he and I rescued 2 boats that broke moor, to say Im devastated just learning of his passing is an understatement ! It would be an honor if I could pay my respect to Rose & visit on my way to fla. I considered Gerry a friend, a mentor, and a great leader, because of Gerry, Im a better person, my sympathy to Rose and the Naylor family .

Cousin Gerald, just hearing the sadness of you leaving us here on earth, only takes us back, such a long time ago, but still remembering, we smile of a little man running up and down the road called Manor Woods, and then as you lived up along the roads of what we called near the Railroad Tracks in Lime Kiln, only bring a big smile, then we saw a young man go into the service and come back in a uniform of all white, yes, the Navy. Yes, when we heard of your passing these are the things we cherish during your life with your cousin in a small town called Frederick, But, these silent memories are true and tender, just to show we still remember. We realized through the spirit, God has placed in each of us, that memories are like threads of gold. They never tarnish or grow old. Sorry we didn't know of your Going Home Day, but when we found out we had to send you this spiritual message that we know will tenderly be heard by you in a sweet, sweet, breathe of the Love from God, Your Cousins Dinah, Carol, Pam, and Debbie Lee
