Jan, KC, Olga and All...

Kenny was more than just a landlord, but a blessing. I've lived at "River Acres" for many years; and Jan, you and Kenny helped to make living here like "home".

When I first met him I thought he was in his 50s, but surprised to learn he was in his 60s at the time! He worked on these apartments when he didn't have to, which I think helped him to stay young...that and fishing and crabbing!

He said once that I was like family, which touched me a great deal...and which is why I will miss him. May God hold you all close and comfort you until that great day when we will all meet again.

Dear Pam, Ken, Sylvia and K.C.,
I was sorry to read of your fathers passing, there was a man bigger then life and got the most out of life.
One of the last times I saw him he had a tire blowout on Rt. 64 and I stopped and helped him change it. I can not remember if it was before or after that we were wirelineing the same piece of water in the James river one day but every time he would reel up and move I would follow. It was a great day watching the best there was work that magic, he let me learn one or two secrets before he shook me loose in rough water, it was a memory I will not forget. Mr. Akers will always be remembered and missed by the Boykin family.

Sylvia and K.C.,
I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my Dad way back in 1980 but I still think about him all the time and the good times we shared as I'm sure you will about your Dad.
