Thomas J. Boone
Hampton - Thomas J. Boone, 53 departed this life on Friday, April 6, 2018 after a lengthy visit with his loving family at his side in Richmond, VA. Thomas was predeceased by his nephew, Tyler Lee. He leaves to cherish his beautiful memory, his daughter, Jayla Mae Boone;his son, Jaden John Lewis Boone, step daughters, Jonea Cruz and Jonelle Mays (and children), his devoted parents John L. Boone and Shirley M. Boone; two encouraging sisters, Yvonne Y. Boone and Lavern B. Lee (Howard) and his only special niece, Morgan Lee. Thomas was a dedicated Operations Manager at Hampton Roads Examination Warehouse for 10 years. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management from Hampton Institute in 1986, Hampton Virginia. In addition to excelling in academics, Thomas was an avid athlete who excelled in football, basketball, wrestling and track and field. Thomas was also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated. A Celebration of Life will be held, 2:30pm, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Mount Gilead Missionary Baptist Church, 1057 Kennedy Street, Norfolk, Virginia 23513. Service are entrusted to Metropolitan Funeral Service, Granby.
