Sharon Chiera
Virginia Beach - Sharon "Sherry" Chiera went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2018, at the age of 74 years. She was born to the late Dewey Hobson Williamson and Ann Louise Williamson on July 26, 1943 in Norfolk, Virginia.
Sherry worked various jobs over the years, but the one she was most proud of was her gift shop named Sherry's Cottage that she owned and operated for more than 20 years. She also spent several years working for GE and Two Men and a Truck. Over the years she enjoyed cooking, reading, going to Church, talking with friends on the phone, and hearing updates on all her grandchildren and grand puppies.
Sherry is survived by her daughter Kellee Kraft, son-in-law Joe Kraft, and their 2 children Kerri Leighanne and Bailey Alexander (as well as 2 grandpuppies Sadie and Roxy that she loved). She is also survived by her son, Wilmer Franklin Chiera III, and his three children (James Ashton, Xander Andre, and Mara). She also has a brother Bill Williamson in Victoria, Texas. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 at Brook Baptist Church 4397 Wishart Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Food Bank of Southeastern Virginia. Donations can be made online at: https://foodbankonline.org/directory/listing/brook-baptist-church. This is an organization that was important to her. Not only did she spend time volunteering there when she was able to get around, but she also benefited from their generosity during times of need.
