Cindy J. Abeyta-Puryear was born on July 10, 1961 in Durango, CO to Florian Abeyta Sr. and Teodorita Ulibarri. She attended primary school at Sacred Heart Catholic School, then went to Miller Jr. High School and graduated from Durango High School in 1979. She went to work with the U.S. Forrest Service and then went to work for the National Park Service at Mesa Verde. From there she worked for BLM in Albuquerque, NM; Durango Housing; Burlington Services; Sacred Heart Catholic School in Farmington; and recently was the Office Manager at Haven's Transport.
She was a devoted wife of 24 years, married to her soul mate and best friend Brent S. Puryear. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Seth, Bree, and Laney. Her world revolved around her kids of whom she was very proud. Her son was her pride and joy and she was so proud of the man he is today, his marriage to Leiah and the career path he has chosen. Her daughters were her little angels and she was excited they are both pursuing careers in college. Cindy loved her career as an Office Manager and the people she worked with. She was known and loved by so many.
She is survived by her husband; children; parents; her brothers Dennis Lucero, Leo Ulibarri, and Florina Abeyta Jr,; and many nieces and nephews.
