My cousin Pat,

Pat was my oldest cousin on my mother's side of the family, the Carrows, he was my Aunt Margaret’s only child and my maternal grandparents first grandson. Pat and Rose were like family institutions. When I spoke to Pat last week, after Rose had died he spoke of the strength of our family and blessings we have to have had such strong family history and background, we spoke many of our aunts and uncles, our southern hometown with roots which stretch back centuries. He knew Pat had been a boxing champ when he was in the army. I didn't know as Pat shared with me that day he had shared the stage with great Ossie David and Ruby Dee . Pat also told me he had played the Audubon Ballroom ,the place were Malcolm X was shot, the night before Malcolm's assassination there. Pat will be missed your cousins Mary who you called Deedee, Sandra, Lilbro, Nancy, Debbie, David
