I was so saddened to recently learn of your mother's passing. I'm, also, sorry, I found out after her services were over. I would have loved to pay my respects to one of the smartest & funniest nurses I have ever had the pleasure to work with! She could walk into the ED after playing tennis, barefooted, carrying her tennis shoes, & immediately get to work on any Critical Patient we had. She was just the Best!!! She Loved all her family more than anything. When your Dad or any of you would stop by to visit, she would light up! I left the ED in 2001, transitioning over to Psychiatry, and lost touch with your mom, regrettably. I hope you find some comfort in knowing your Mom is once again reunited with your Dad. Talk about Two Peas in A Pod! I'm certain you will all stay close as a family and have many, many Happy & Fun stories to share about your parents. My very deepest Sympathy.

Beautiful fiery Mary...the Barefoot Contessa.Perpetually late running in with her tennis shoes in hand...yelling " more time for tennis"! She was one of a kind...always proud of her husband and kids....and such an exceptional nurse. Keep on rockin in Heaven Mary. Diane Sproch

Mary certainly embraced a full life of giving and sharing with others. She will be greatly missed. When my dear husband died I was comforted by the following scripture. And he (God) will wipe away every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning or outcry or pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. . We can look forward to seeing our loved ones again!

Who would have thought that the tan barefoot lady I saw on my first visit to the grocery store after moving to Rancho Bernardo would become my partner in crime on the tennis court.
Always encouraging, always fair and always funny.
My deepest sympathies to you Tara, Guy and Tim. Your mom was a gem.
