Mrs. Dallen was one of my favorite teachers, of whom I was privileged to travel with once, and enjoy her home in Catawba when she was a stand-in parent to a foreign exchange student Tama Noda. She made my move to Port Clinton High School fun and easy. God's blessings to the family. cp

A truly wonderful woman who impressed upon me and many others the importance of manners, proper grammar and knowledge of poetry and English literature. Her style of teaching enabled me to grasp a difficult subject and memorize poetry that I, as well as my fellow students, are able to recite from memory today. We all loved her and she remains in our memories over 40 years later. My sympathy to all of you.

There are teachers you will always remember, some for the good, others for the bad. Mrs. Dallen was definitely one that brought out the best of her students. Stern, fair and caring is how I remember her. She was a true Suthern Belle (say it as it is spelled) who made the world a better place. As we say in the south Honey, if she's not in a better place, the rest of us don't stand a chance." God Bless. RAE PCHS 76
