NORMA WALSH Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Sep. 2 to Sep. 14, 2018.

WALSH NORMA (PRANTL)

Who was born on September 19, 1938, passed away on August 30, 2018 in Pittsburgh. She is survived by her beloved family. Her husband, Charles J. Walsh; her sons, Charles Ascher-Walsh and Lawrence Walsh; her daughters-in-law, Rebecca Ascher-Walsh and Sara Walsh; and her five cherished grandchildren, Henry, Sam, and Molly Walsh, and Athena and Dahlia Ascher-Walsh; she also leaves her sister, Pauline Wydrenski and husband, Stan; her brother, Henry Prantl and wife, Carole; her sister-in-law, Judy Jardine and husband, Kurt; and her life-long best friend, Jane Prantl. Norma's passion was devoting herself to her friends and family, which included her nieces, Celeste Dunlap and Pam Agnew; and her nephews, Kevin Wydrenski, Henry Prantl, Jr., and Mark Ferraz. She remembered every birthday and celebrated them all with the most thoughtful presents; there was not a holiday on the calendar that didn't mark the arrival of a fun card. Her friends in Pittsburgh and Delray Beach, Florida, of which she was also a resident, remember her joyful spirit, the fun of her company, and her enthusiasm for tennis, golf, and being surrounded by loved ones, of which there were many. She will be greatly missed by all and remembered always. All who would like to express condolences and celebrate her life are invited to join the family on Saturday, September 15th at The Pittsburgh Golf Club, 5280 Northumberland St., Pittsburgh, PA  15217 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norma's memory to Shadyside Presbyterian Church, 5121 Westminster Place, Pittsburgh, PA  15232. Arrangements by JOHN A. FREYVOGEL SONS, INC.

Henry (SR) . So sorry for the passing of Norma. She was always beauitful and a kind lady even when I knew her. I grew up at 1020 Chestnut St, very close to bakery and knew Norma, Henry and Pauline . Use to help them in the Orignal Prantle's (Hegels). Wonderful memories of their delicious sandwich buns, rolls, etc and the kind family they had. Please accept my deepest sympathy . charlene pfeiffer
