John was employed at Duquesne University for 30 years. He was a hard worker known for being kind and loving. He loved nature and country music. He will be missed by all who knew him. John is survived by his son, John Michael Petriga; daughter- in-law, Sylvia Petriga; daughter, Lisa Pearman; grandchildren, Nicholas and Alyssa Pearman; brother, Stephen Petriga; and sister-in-law, Loretta Petriga. Friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in the EDWARD P. KANAI FUNERAL HOME, 500 Greenfield Ave. 15207. Funeral Friday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Paul Cathedral.
