MEBANE - Mrs. Carol P. Godwin, 57, of Mebane passed away at her residence on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 6:33 a.m.
A native of Albemarle, NC, she was the wife of Greg Godwin, who survives and the daughter of the late Joseph R. Pearce and Anne M. Pearce, who survives. She was an Administrative Assistant IV for the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
In addition to her husband and mother, survivors include a daughter, Melissa Kernodle Casertano and husband Joseph of Clayton; two sisters, Elaine Hunnicutt and husband Harold of Burlington and Susan Speed and husband Frank of Selma, AL; and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph "Jody" Pearce.
Private services will be held by the family.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Govinda Brahmanday and his staff and also Authora Care Collective Hospice Home for the care and compassion they have given to Carol and her family.
