Dominic 'Dom' David Belcastro
STEWARTSVILLE, NJ
Dominic "Dom" David Belcastro, 38, of Stewartsville, N.J., died April 3, 2021 in Phillipsburg, N.J.
Born June 17, 1982 in Phillipsburg, he was a son of David Belcastro of Flanders, N.J. and Topsy Llewellyn of Lopatcong Township, N.J.
Dom graduated Phillipsburg High School, Class of 2000. He then joined the U.S. Army and was stationed in Hawaii from 2000 - 2003. Following his discharge from the Army, Dom joined the Phillipsburg Police Department in 2012 and graduated from the Mercer County Police Academy In 2013. He was a founding member of the Phillipsburg Honor Guard in 2018. He was also a member of the Warren County Tactical Response Team.
Dom was a devoted family man. His life, as his personality, was too big for words.
In addition to his parents, Dom is survived by his wife of 9 years, the former Kristen M. Wyant - they were married October 22, 2011; two daughters, Lilawyn Mae and Georgia; a brother, Ryan and his wife, Megan of Phillipsburg; nieces and nephews include Levi and Rosemary Blew, Lela Backer and Cade and Everett Belcastro; three goddaughters, Stella, Priscilla and Viola Guarino, and his dachshund, "Mayer".
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Noto-Wynkoop Funeral Home, 289 South Main Street, Phillipsburg, N.J. (www. noto-wynkoop.com.) Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Walter's Park, 1 Meyner Road, Phillipsburg.
Donations to benefit his family can be made payable to PBA Local 56, and may be delivered to the funeral home or mailed to PBA Local 56, PO Box 67, Phillipsburg, N.J. 08865.

I heard on the news about the sad loss of Dominic Belcastro and I was intrigued about his surname as my Mum has the same surname. I found out that I might be related to Dominic. I wanted to express my deepest simpathies to all the family and I wish I could connect with someone in Dominic's family.

I was at the scene when he passed away Myself and a nurse did cpr on him for about 45 mins but we had no luck ... I was driving by and stop to help .... I just want you to no I stay with him until the very end ...Iam sorry I could not do more for him ...sorry for your loss...

My deepest condolences on the passing of Officer Belcastro. I didn’t know you sir but my daughter is a social worker in New Jersey and said you were all very nice when she had a call and you were there to support her.She also said you were the nicest guy every time you were on the call, best cop in Phillipsburg! Thank you for your service!Also thank you for being there to protect her! Rest In Peace young man.
