Douglas M. Buck
Carmel - 94, of Carmel, passed away February 16, 2018. He was born in Keokuk, IA on July 3, 1923, son of John and Snow Jones Buck.
Doug was a veteran of WWII having served in the US Naval Air Corps where he was a Bombadier instructor in the use of the Norden Bombsight. Doug was employed as a Captain with the Indiana State Police. He also was head of Questioned Documents and Director of the Crime Lab.
Memberships include Nora Kiwanis, Carmel Clay Kiwanis and the Indianapolis Canoe Club.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou and great-granddaughter, Grace Marie.
Survivors include son, Jeff (Julie) Buck; daughter, Polly (Bret) Marsh; grandchildren, Sarah (Derek), Anna, Elizabeth (Michael), Daniel, Spencer and Lacey; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Joshua.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 am in Union Chapel United Methodist Church, of which he was a member. A time of visitation will take place one hour prior to service at 10 am in the church.

Though we've yet to meet in person I send you my deep-felt sympathy with the loss of your father. My late father, A. Glen O'Dell shared your love of God and Mt. Auburn.
