Reverend Earl Jones, of Madison, Wisconsin, formerly of Gary, Indiana. Earl Jones departed this life on May 10, 2018 at home surrounded by loved ones. Earl Jones was born April 25, 1925 in Coyle, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of fourteen children born to the late Mose and Amanda Jones. Earl Jones was a United States Naval WWII and Korean War Veteran. Earl worked at U.S. Steel Mill, as a Sheet Metal Roller. Retiring after 30 years of service, Earl pursued yet another career as a Chef for Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity at Valparaiso University. Earl Jones greatest sense of accomplishment and joy, was his calling to preach the word of God. Earl will be reunited with the love of his life of 59 years; Bessie Elizabeth Jones, daughter; Sharon E. Johnson, grandsons; Richard "Kevin" Trass, Vincent "Dion" Jones, brothers and sisters; Tommy, Elizabeth, Harry, Eddie (Maggie), Mary (Charlie), James(Mary), Christina(Dave), Ike (Vernell), Ruth (Charlie), Claude (Lucille), Ada (Dewell), Marcellus ( Lillian), Gertrude( Grover), brothers-in-law William Downey, Lawrence Andrews, Roy Walker, sister-in-law; Helen Peters Brown, daughter-in-law; Staci Vick Jones. Earl leaves to cherish his loving memory: 5 sons; Randle Vick Jones, Tulsa, Oklahoma., Sanford E.(Yulonda) Jones, Madison, WI, Darrell R. (Florentina) Jones, Gary, IN, Chauncey G. Jones, Waukesha, WI, Parris D. Jones, Madison, WI, 1 daughter; Rosalyn Jones-Knight, Madison, WI, son-in-law; Thurman Johnson, Gary, IN; sister-daughter, Theressia Walker, Madison,WI; sister-in-law, Ella Andrews, Milwaukee, WI; god daughters; Evelyn Sims-Lowe, Hobart, IN, Cheryl Sims-Kindred, Gary, IN, 28 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Visitation Friday May 18, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 pm, Family Hour 7:00-8:00 pm, at Guy and Allen Chapel, 2959 W. 11th Ave. Gary, Indiana. Homegoing services Saturday May 19, 2018 at Holy Bethel Missionary Baptist Church 810 W. 8th Ave. Gary, IN. Professional services rendered by Guy and Allen Funeral Directors, Inc.
