Edward Clark Obituary

July 16, 1994 - January 1, 2021 Edward ("Ned") spent his childhood in San Marino. He attended Polytechnic School in Pasadena and graduated from the Webb School in Claremont in 1992. Ned was a talented french horn player, performed in several youth orchestras, including a trip to Vienna, and attended the Interlochen Summer Music Camp for several years. He matriculated at Pitzer College in Claremont transferring to California State University in Los Angeles in his third year to pursue his passionate interest in criminal justice. Upon graduating from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Academy in Whittier near the top of his class he was assigned to the Compton Station where he spent most of his career serving as a training officer and instructor as well as an active patrol officer. After his retirement he served in several positions in the security industry. His quest for adventure led him to become an active skydiver, ice hockey player, and youth ice hockey coach. He continued his interest in music through his whole life. In December 2020, Ned contracted Covid-19 and after a battle of several weeks passed on January 1, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Edward E. and Alicia G. Clark, his three children, Edward E. Clark III, Harley Katarina Clark, and Scarlett Rose Clark, and by his devoted companion, Diana Ortega.

Eddie had such a great personality. He would so anything for anyone at anytime. It was always a pleasure to see his smiling eyes (because of the mask) almost everyday at City of Hope. He will be greatly missed

I am beyond shocked, and so so sorry to read this, thinking of Ned’s kids and partner and parents. I’m just so sorry.
