On January 9, 2021, Evelyn Proctor of West Chester, Pennsylvania, departed this life. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Proctor, Sr., and Elmira Rebecca (Peterson) Proctor. Growing up, Evelyn spent her childhood living on Whiteland Avenue “The Hollow” of Downingtown, Pennsylvania. She devoted years of her life being a Caregiver for multiple families in the area. Evelyn enjoyed fishing, cars, and playing the lottery, specifically scratch-offs. Her family fondly remembers her notably fashionable jewelry she regularly wore and her love for Bingo games. She also studied with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Many will mourn the passing of Evelyn Proctor. She is survived by her sister, Marion Tinson, and her sister-in-law Julia Proctor. She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews. In addition, two of her best friends of many years Karen Stein and her mother Helen who adored Evelyn. Evelyn was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers: Helen Tinson, Elizabeth Warnick, Ernest Proctor, Jr., and George Proctor. The memorial service will be held at Milestone Events, 600 East Market Street, West Chester, Pennsylvania, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021.

I first met Miss Evelyn when she lived in my Aunts apartment on Market Street in West Chester she always had a smile and pleasant conversation whenever I saw her.

Mrs Proctor was a very nice person she was my mother's best friend and we would talk on the phone sometimes the last time I talked to her was around Xmas and she said that she wasn't feeling well but I told her that I would come and bring her anything that she wanted but she said that she would call me I will always remember that she would call mother and they would talk for hours I will miss her so much for being a part of the family may God continue to be with the family and keep them safe during these days and times
