I have so many wonderful memories of Morry, I could never select just one. His work was terrific, still being used by economists, but he was also a wonderful guy. I wrote a remembrance at forbes.com.

Prof. Adelman has been an inspiration to me ever since I first met him about fifteeen years ago when I joined the MIT Energy Lab. He was a well known Emeritus Professor and an international expert on energy economics.
Several Energy Lab people started a course on "Sustainable Energy" at MIT in the mid-1990's and Morry was a star lecturer on energy economics and oil politics! In 1997, there was a serious blizzard on April Fools Day. I lived nearby and walked in to the class - Morry was scheduled to lecture. To my surprise, he was there early, covered in snow, having taken the "T" in from Brookline!
Later, I retired and moved to the Lasell Village retirement community in Newton. It was great to find that Morry was also a resident. His health failed slowly and he eventually moved into our nursing facility. He remained engaged even when he couldn't find words easily. He still loved classical music and weather when he could sit outdoors a bit. Last April 1, when I visited and reminded him of his trek through the 1997 blizzard, his eyes twinkled.
He will remain an inspiration to me - and he will be missed by many colleagues and friends. My heartfelt condolences to his family.

Dear Bobi,
I don't think I ever met your Dad ...and wouldn't he be Dr. Adelman??? He was a brilliant professor and author from all I have heard and read about hm....no matter how long a life, losing a parent is so painful and you were amazing to him particularly during these challenging years of illness and the ongoing unknown. Please know that friends are near and here. With sympathy and love, Sandi (Donna's younger sister!)

My dear Bobi,
You know how I felt about your Dad, but I will document it here for you. What an intelligent, humble, down to earth person! He had a wry sense of humor and always ready with a funny or very unusual anecdote. He was such a lovely host when your parents used to take us all for Chinese food at May's!! I will always remember how pleased he was that I enjoyed his espresso ! He gave me the greatest grin, so proud of his beverage. I can still remember how good it tasted. A truly great guy from the "greatest generation ". I do hope he's united now with your mom and Larry. Rest in Peace, Mr. Adelman. You deserve it.
With love, sympathy and deep affection, Donna
