Beloved husband of the late Violet E.; loving father of Debbie(Chuck Knowles) Hollingsworth and Paul (Kathy)Veres; dearest grandfather of Matt (Ali), Brian (Amanda), Megan (Mike) and Brandon; dear great grandfather of Aiden, Lia, Connor and Hazel Belle; dear brother of Mike, John and Agnes (all deceased). Veteran, U.S. Navy, WWII. Friends received at the ST. JOHN FUNERAL HOME, 923 BROADWAY AVE., BEDFORD. (ONE MILE WEST OF THE FORBES-BROADWAY EXIT OF I-271), THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 17 FROM 6 – 8 P.M. Services will be held Friday, September 18 at 12 NOON at Bedford Cemetery. Social distancing and wearing of masks will be observed at the funeral home and cemetery.

Dear Debbie and family - I know Paul’s passing will leave a huge hole in your hearts. All the memories I have of him is of a kind and gentle man with a lovely sense of humor who was ALL about his family. He is a wonderful example of a life well lived. Many prayers for you all to cherish the best memories forever.

I recall hearing Paul talk about caring for his wife in her final days here on Earth. It was inspiring to see and hear how much he loved her. I've tried to take his caring to heart in my own marriage.
