MONMOUTH - Pamela Sue Lytle, 59, Monmouth, died Friday, June 19, 2020, in Galesburg.
Pam was born Sept. 3, 1960, in Galesburg, the daughter of Rollin Wesley and Nannie Lee (Link) Wilkins. She married Jay Lytle. He preceded her in death in 2015.
Pam is survived by her daughter, Samantha Platz of Monmouth; stepsons, Justin and Tyler Lytle; two brothers, Matthew Wilkins of Alpha and Bruce Strohmaier of Richmond, Kentucky; five sisters, Karen Whited of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Cheryl Fergusson of Galesburg, Sharon Wilkins of Galesburg, Linda Steward of Alpha and Brenda Stewart of Oquawka; and her boyfriend, Doug Hoyt.
Along with her parents and husband, Pam was preceded in death by her stepfather, William Strohmaier; one brother, Gary Wilkins; and two sisters, Cheryl Jones and Lori Ecklund.
Pam enjoyed tending to her garden, Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and her dog Ally. She graduated from Galesburg High School.
Pam worked at Maytag from 1993 until the plant closed. She also had worked at Monmouth Pottery and Sheraton Hotels.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held with burial in Wataga Cemetery, Wataga. Arrangements have been entrusted to Watson Thomas Funeral Home and Crematory, Galesburg. Memorials may be made in Pam's memory to the United Way of Knox County.
