Russell Snowden Clayton, 89, of Reisterstown, MD, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster, MD. Born on March 19, 1931, in Fairmont, WV, he was the son of the late Russell and Ruth Mae Snowden Clayton. He was the beloved husband of 61 years to Ann Marie Skidmore Clayton. Russell worked for 30 years at the Engineering Lab at Westinghouse. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Russell was a member of the American Legion and the Reisterstown United Methodist Church. He was a family man and could fix anything. Surviving him in addition to his wife are children: Rodney Clayton and wife Kimberly of Columbia, MD, Susan Pritchett of Manchester, MD, and David Clayton and wife Rachael of Westminster, MD, grandsons: Daniel, Devin, Russell, and Kyle, and great-grandchildren: Ashlyn, Aidyn, and Clayton. He was predeceased by his sisters: Helen O. Martin, Rowena Caverley, and Ethel Mae McGinnis. Funeral services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Russell's name may be made to Reisterstown United Methodist Church, 246 Main Street, Reisterstown, MD 21136, or to Carroll Hospice, 292 Stoner Avenue, Westminster, MD 21157.
