Steven P. Malesic, 62, of Harrisburg, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019 at his home. Born February 26, 1957, he was a son of John and Mary Malesic, and brother of William, John, Jr. and Kathleen. In the eyes of some, Steven may have been presented with challenges in life. He, however, never let his disabilities limit his desire to engage in the world around him. Steven enjoyed music, action movies, and food – especially mashed potatoes. Although slight in stature, he was always able to make his presence known. Those closest to him came to appreciate how he utilized his spoon to both enhance his non-verbal communication as well as express the importance of his thoughts and ideas. Steven was an inspiration to many and the impression he made will be remembered by those whose hearts he touched. His Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Faith Evangelical Congregational Church, 600 Strites Road, Harrisburg, with Rev. Dr. Gordon Lewis, officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 P.M., prior to the service. Interment will follow in Shoop's Cemetery, Harrisburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Merakey Foundation, 620 East Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444 or at merakey.org.
